Health screening helps breeders make more informed decisions. For Cavaliers, recommended clearances commonly include cardiac, eye, hip, and patella evaluations, alongside careful consideration of pedigree and family health history.
No screening can promise that a dog will never develop a health condition. The purpose is to use the best available information thoughtfully, communicate with transparency, and keep learning as veterinary knowledge evolves.
